A Persian poem by Baba,... کبوتر شاه

Jay Mehr Baba (no need for the second 'e'!)
The following poem was kindly given to me, in August, by our dear brother Erico, a long timer,
senior Baba lover, who HAS the flavor of Baba and Mehraji.
It is written in Persian with His holy hand
(wish i can scan the copy of it later for those who are interested to see it!)
Tried my best to translate it into English, BUT as you see below,
there is one place i just could NOT get the meaning! So we leave it as it is, for now!
زنده و پاینده مهربابا
شعر زیر توسط بابای مهربان با خط خودش به فارسی نگاشته شده و داستانی واقعی دارد که فتوکپی آن را برادر عزیزمان اریکو __
از عاشقان کهنه کار مهربابا که عطری از بابا و مهرای عزیز را همراه دارد__ در مرداد ماه امسال به بنده هدیه فرمود و از من خواست تا به انگلیسی ترجمه اش کنم. البته داستان آن را اینک خوب به یاد ندارم و به وقتی دیگر موکول می کنم.
در فهم یک بیت از آن مانده ام و بنابراین بصورت علامت سوال باقی گذاشته ام. ظاهرا شعر ناتمام باقی مانده است....

کبوتر شاه مهمان خرابات مُعلّا شد

King pigeon became the guest of the highest kharabaat
(ruined place of worship for dervishes)

چه مهمانی که فوراً مالک خاک همینجا شد؟

What a guest, who at once
became the owner of this land!

چرا و از کجا آمد؟ چو آمد رفتن ما شد

Why and from where he came,
that as he arrived, I had to go

فنا شد یک به یک هستی نه مرد و هم نه پیدا شد

He became annihilated stage by stage,
his existence did not die
and he also was not apparent (visible)

چون قبل از رفتنم یک روز پیغامی عجب آورد

One day, before my departure,
he brought me a strange message from the Beloved

ز دلبر جان فدای مرگ قاصدی نه برپا شد

????

خداوندا پس پرده تماشایی عچب داری

Oh Lord, what a mysterious show you have behind the curtain!

به چشم اهل نابینا هویدایی معمّا شد

To the eyes of the blind he became an apparent puzzle

کبوتر شاه در مرغان ولی گشت

Among the birds, King pigeon became a governor,

که باشد در گهش در منزل میم

whose court is the Manzele Mim

به پا بوسش حاضر مهربان شد

Mehrban went to kiss his feet

که دیروز آمد و امروز....

Who came yesterday and today….
