ذهن Mind

ذهن خادمی نیک ولی اربابی بد است.

Mind is a good servant, but a bad master.

این یعنی که اگر آن را در کنترل داشته باشی، طبق خواسته ات عمل می کند.

This means if you control it, it will act as you want.
اگر ذهن بر تو کنترل داشته و راه خودش را برود، ارباب بدی است.

The mind is a bad master if it has control over you to go its way.
وقتی که کنترل ذهن بر تو محکم شد، تو گم شده ای!

Once the mind’s control is firm, you are lost!

ذهن انبار خواسته های پست است و همیشه تو را گمراه می سازد.

Mind is a storehouse of low desires and always misleads you.
ذهن مُهری از خواسته های حیوانی از میلیاردها سال را بر خود دارد.

It has the stamp of animal desires on it from billions of years.

اگر تو ذهن را کنترل کنی، خواسته ها غیرفعال می شوند.

If you control the mind, desires become inactive.
چون ذهن همچنین از زندگانی های انسانی، خواسته های نیک هم دارد،

این خواسته ها به کار گرفته می شوند.

Because the mind also has good desires from human lives,
those desires are worked out.

Mind is a good servant, but a bad master.

وقتی سوار اسب می شوی، اگر از کنترل خارج شود چه می کنی؟

When you ride a horse, what would you do
if it goes out of control?

اگر عصبی و خشمگین شوی نمی توانی اسب را کنترل کنی.

If you get nervous or angry, you cannot control the horse.
اگر روی ذهنت کنترل داشته باشی، آن حیوان ساکت می شود،

If you have control over your mind,
the animal will become quiet.

اگر کنترل آن ازبین برود هم سوار و هم اسب گم می شوند.

If control is lost, both the rider and the horse are lost.
ذهن درست مانند آن اسب است: اگر در کنترل باشد خوب است؛
ولی اگر حاکم شود خطرناک است.
The horse is just like the mind: it is good if controlled,
but dangerous if it becomes the master.
